Scecina Memorial High School awarded the Larry Neidlinger “We Care” Award

Scecina Memorial High School awarded the Larry Neidlinger “We Care” Award, named in honor of the longtime teacher, coach, administrator, and friend of the school, to AOH, Kevin Barry Division #3 members Fr. James Farrell and Fr. Robert Gilday.

The award is presented annually to an individual(s) who exemplifies the spirit of “going the extra mile” in support of Scecina’s athletic program, much like Neidlinger himself.

Fr. Jim is a retired priest of the Indianapolis Archdiocese yet continues to serve as Scecina’s chaplain coordinator, inspiring students with his deep yet practical homilies and ongoing reflections on what ministry in a high school setting might look like.

Fr. Bob, who also retired from the Indianapolis Archdiocese, was an incredibly dedicated and insightful leader on Scecina’s Board of Directors. He maintained a consistent and cheerful presence at class, all-school, and football Masses, as well as on the varsity football sidelines on Friday nights.

Congratulations to our Hibernian Brothers!
