2026 Hibernian Scholarships
The application window for 2026 is now closed.
The window for 2027 will open in September.
Since 1985, through the generous support of our members and friends, the Kevin Barry Division has awarded over 60 scholarships to deserving high school seniors in Indiana. This year we are proud to offer the following scholarships, each worth $1500:
- Hibernian Kehoe Scholarship
- Katie White AOH Scholarship
- Denis and Ita Moriarty AOH Scholarship
- Jim McCaughna AOH Scholarship
- Pat McNulty AOH Scholarship
- Joe and Mary Frances Dugan AOH Scholarship
AOH Partnership with Marian University
For those Hibernian Scholarship recipients who intend to enroll at Marian University, MU will match the award amount with $3,500, for a total Hibernian Scholarship worth $5,000.
By submitting the application below once, students are eligible to win any of the above scholarships.
Please Note: These scholarships are only available to current Indiana residents.
Application and Essay
Applicants can paste their required essay in the application form below. In addition to adequately following the prompt, applicants must address the essay to Hibernian Scholarship Committee. The application must be submitted by February 2, 2026.
The essay should be no more than 750 words.
Writing Prompt
Please discuss your past experiences, present activities, and future plans as it relates to the following:
- Scholastic achievement
- Extracurricular activities
- Irish heritage
- Involvement in church, community and Irish culture
Please also speak to how receiving this scholarship will impact your future.
